UPDATE 2: Associate Justice Antonio Eduardo Nachura announced that a total of 1,451 out of 5,903 examinees (24.58%)from 108 law schools nationwide passed the 2009 Philippine Bar examinations. The passing percentage for this year was higher compared to 20.58% or 1,310 out of 6,364 who passed the 2008 bar exams.

im not sure... with all the dates im hearing re release of results, merun daw march 12, 15 16 19,26... e halos lahat nlng ng araw merun! for sure SC will announce it through media for a definite date. and what i know for sure is that BEFORE the holy week, we already know wo passed the bar.

It's been a long time since me and the rest of the 6079 potential lawyers have taken the Bar examinations. We have been patiently waiting with deeper faith to the Most High and hoping that the "great news" will soon be made known.
nakaka-tense talaga. when is the exact date of the bar result be released? hopefully my sister will pass.

The results will be released after the Holy Week. The passing rate is the highest ever in history as promised by bar chairman Justice Nachura. More than 35% passed the examinations and some Justices are not amenable to the passing rate. Pls. be calm and keep yourselves busy barristers. There's more to life than just waiting for the results.

LESS than 20 percent of those who took the 2009 Bar examinations passed.
A source of The Manila Times said over the weekend that only 17 percent actually passed the tests for would-be lawyers, but added the Supreme Court would hold a special meeting this week on whether this percentage would be increased.
The source added that the release of the results of the 2009 Bar examinations should have been made on March 19 on Friday. He cited 2009 Bar Examinations Chairman and Supreme Court Justice Antonio Eduardo Nachura asking Chief Justice Reynato Puno for a special en banc session.
The release did not materialize after the Office of the Bar Confidant disclosed that they had not finished computing and tallying the grades.
“There was a delay in the release because it was harder to compute the grades coming from 16 examiners as compared to eight examiners [in the past],” the source said.
There also was a proposal to abolish the current system of having 16 examiners and return to the old system of having eight examiners for the eight subjects in the Bar examinations.
Under the old system, there was one examiner per subject but under the new, there were two per subject.
During an interview, Nachura told The Manila Times that they were not able to release the results last week because the Office of the Bar Confidant was not yet ready.
Nachura said that the results could be released this week at the earliest or before the summer sessions of the High Court in Baguio City this April.

Update March 23, 2010 — The results of the September 2009 Philippine Bar Exam will be posted here. The latest news from the Philippine Daily Inquirer is that the complete list of passers will be released this Friday, March 26:
Justices of the Supreme Court will hold a special en banc session Friday morning where Associate Justice Eduardo Nachura, chairperson of the 2009 Committee on Bar Examination, will present exam results to the magistrates, who will set the passing percentage.
More than 5,903 bar examinees who took the exam in September 2009 will finally find out their fate this Friday, March 26. Good luck to all!
