UPDATE: PRC November 2008 (NLE) Nursing Board Exam Results

The result of the Philippine Nursing (NLE) Licensure (board) Examination which was held in Manila and all Regional Offices last June 1 & 2, 2008 has been released by the PRC.

RESULTS RELEASED IN THIRTY-FIVE (35) WORKING DAYS
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 27,765 out of 64,459
passed the Nurse (First Timers, Repeaters, Removals) Licensure Examination given by the
Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo,
Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last June 2008. The result of
examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of her
liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.
The members of the Board of Nursing are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila
A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas, Yolanda C. Arugay
and Amelia B. Rosales.
Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath
Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces
passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1” x 1”
picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary
stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial
Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2008-2011. Successful
examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered
Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination in Manila
as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before
the Board on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19 and 20, 2008, with morning (8:00 A.M.) and
afternoon (1:00 P.M.) sessions at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. All
must come in their white gala uniform, nurses cap, white duty shoes, without earrings,
hair not touching the collar and without corsage.
Admission tickets for the Manila oathtaking will be available starting August 1, 2008 in
your respective colleges of Nursing. Walk-in inductees who wish to join the Manila oathtaking
ceremonies may secure admission tickets at the Philippine Nurses’ Association, 1663 F.T.
Benitez Street, Malate, Manila on a strictly first come first serve basis.

grrrr super frustated ako nagkamali akong shading sa test 2 aND 3..HUHU i could die
ano pa mga ibang tanong?? ano mga main focus na concept sa board last june 2008? november pa ako mag take. i've heard marami daw sa OR (periop). tulad ng ano? salamat.
Meron colostomy care, liver biopsy and positioning after procedure, yung mga research terms hindi kasing dali kasi kakalkalin mo sa situation na nilagay sa napakahaba na paragraph.
May mga questions na trivia, na ewan ko kung magagamit mo sa practice ng nursing tulad ng anong taon na-establish yung nursing informatics.
May halong madali, tulad ng anong kulay ng oxygen tank tsaka ano pinaka comfortable na pwedeng gamitin for O2 inhalation (Face Mask), meron din mga tanong sa syringe kung ano ang gagamitin mong gauge tsaka needle length.
Minsan may tanong na pag-iisipan mo saglit- yung "Tell me what happened" or "How do you feel".
Hypo/hyperkalemia tsaka significant ECG changes meron, pero unlike sa tinuro sa mga review centers about looking for changes sa U or T wave, they listed answers other than what they taught you.
Closed/Open door policies and stuff.
If you're taking the board this November, I suggest you start reading na kasi sa review, halos hindi ka na makakapagbasa.
Pag nag-exam ka na, eat light meals in between. Don't stuff yourself. Trust me, aantukin ka lalo na sa kalagitnaan ng exam.

naiyak ako after test 4 kasi naubusan ako ng time...andami ko pa erasures....huhuhuhu...haay naku, anyway, andami ng naturo during reviews pero andami din questions na wala dun sa choices and naituro..hmmmm...let's leave it all in God's hands...let's just rest in His promises...God bless us all na nagtake this june 08

hello po somebody told me last night daw po nakita nya n ang results ng NLE Board exam june 2008 may mga nakakita n ba s inyo? Kailan kaya ilalabas d2 sa web ang result?
Grabe!!!!! sobra ang tension ko dahil ng second day ay halos mahilohilo ako di naman mainit sa testing area ko di naman ako gutom. Pakiramdam ko lumilindol na kaya kailangan magconcentrate lalo na hirap ng test 5 mamimili ka sa sagot kung ano ang least answer kaya lahat tama. Nag lagay n lng ako ng bilang kung ano ang uunahin ko at ihuhuli para di malito baka kasi maiba ang shading ko. Alam ko nandyan lang si God sa tabi ko. Kaya habang nagsasagot ako may kasamang prayers n wag akong mg black out at masasayang lahat ang pinaghirapan ko waaaaaaaaaaaah kung nagkataon matatalo ako.
Ayoko na dumaan sa ganitong mga klaseng exam, parusa! Sana makalusot na para di na uulit!

HIGHEST PLUS LOWEST SCORE DIVIDED BY TWO. For ex. 80+40=120/2=60. it means 60 ang passing BUT!!!!!!!! no grades below 60 and the average must be 75.

hay nako buti nga kayo 5 subject lang ang board exam nyo compared sa amin theory and PRACTICAL KAYA DAPAT IPASA NYO YAN SUSME
My advise for those who will be taking the November NLE....Simula niyo nang pag-aralan yung Leadership and Management principles at syempre ang research kasi from test I to test V ay andun sila.
Yung prof ad related questions depende tlga sa judgement call mo. Kpag alam mo paano mag-isip ang BON at alam mo ung dapat tlga mkukuha mo kasi di mo mahahanap sa books ang answers..
Try reading NCLEX-RN books also kasi ang BON naglilift ng questions mula sa nclex khit sinabi ni Marco Sto Thomas na hindi daw pero there were 4 or 5 questions na naencounter namin sa NLE this june ang naencounter namin sa mga Practice tests namin at yung isa ay EXACTLY the same tlga.....Akalain nyo ba naman?Syempre masaya kame.

Inis lng ako kasi bkit yung mga questions nila mxdong kakaiba. Kung di mo alam kung kelan naestablish ang nursing infomatics mamamatay ba pasyente mo?akalain nyo ba naman...pero wla tyong mgagawa.hehe!Peace samga BON officers...hehe!

may sobrang dali at sobrang hirap sa nle june08. at mas marami ung madali sa mahirap pwera lang kung hindi talaga nag-aral. test 2 lumabas ung hindi talaga nareview but the rest e nareview naman. ang kalaban lang e gutom, kaba, ANTOK at init. sa hapon medyo hirap na kami kasi halos nagamit na ung utak at medyo masakit na sa ulo pero kayang kaya naman.
may naulit na questions sa test 5. mga 5-6 questions ata un. swerte. :) body mechanics kasi un. :)

1) WHY DOES IT TAKE TOO LONG FOR THE P.R.C. TO RELEASE THE NURSING BOARD EXAM RESULTS WHEN THE ANSWER SHEETS CAN BE EASILY CHECKED BY AN OPTICAL MARK READER MACHINE THAT CAN HANDLE THOUSANDS OF ANSWER SHEETS PER HOUR? WE SHADE THE ANSWER SHEETS BECAUSE IT IS FED AFTERWARDS TO AN OPTICAL MARK READER.
2) WHY IS IT THAT THE CHECKING PROCESS OF ANSWER SHEETS NOT COVERED BY THE MASS MEDIA WHEN IT OBVIOUSLY CONCERNS THE PUBLIC? THE ONLY THING THE P.R.C. GIVES TO THE MEDIA ARE THE "END RESULTS". THERE SHOULD BE MEDIA REPRESENTATIVES TO GUARD THESE SO CALLED "CHECKING". GRADES OR RESULTS SWITCHING WITH THE CURRENT SYSTEM IS A "HUGE POSSIBILITY" SINCE THE P.R.C. DON'T RETURN THE ANSWER SHEETS TO EXAMINEES.
3) TO SOLVE THE ABOVE, THE P.R.C. SHOULD HAVE COMPUTERIZED TESTING CENTERS IN WHICH ANYONE CAN TAKE THE EXAM ANY WORKING DAY HE/SHE PLEASES... AND KNOW THE RESULT ON THE SPOT.

The tentative date of release is on August 24, 2008. 2 people tied on the first place coming from universities that will mark these students as 1st topnotchers produced by their campuses. Godspeed.."

here's a crazy thought:
people that have "actually" passed the exam are told that they failed so that they spend more money again just to retake it even thought they have passed it. With a corrupt govmt running, who knows?
I hope and pray that this is not happening. A lot of people are suffering financially because so much money has been spent already.

I have a close friend, a reliable source that is, whose mother's bestfriend is a former dean of a nursing school who's now a staff or something sa prc. That former dean told her that there really was a news about that 30 something percent passing rate that will be release mid-july but that result was later moved to an unknown date to adjust the passing rate so that those who got a 74.9% were allowed to pass. with that daw it becomes 46.9% or something ang passing rate.
AND it was really a difficult exam. A friend of mine said that wla rw nkuhang question s test II from our white book at it is undoubtedly true rn n there were 5 questions n naulit not sure lng kung anung test type(A or B). They were first encountered early s exam then again from numbers 95 onwards. and yes halos lhat is basic question with a very unnerving twists!
another is marami rw lumabas sa mga nclex reviewers at sa carl balita book. congrats sa mga ng-RCAP kc nareview nla un mga question na iba n asa dec 2007. they were very lucky. at yes uli my taong ng-alok ng mga questions for the june 08 board s mga rev centers. ewan ko lng kng my kumagat. I believe mern. Hayyysss...

As of now, the june2008 nle results already exist.. It does in our external reality but not yet on our consciousness/ internal reality until the BON releases it... Grade A intel: the 30% passing rate is somehow true but it's not quite that - make it a little bit milder. I dont wanna preempt it so thats all for now. May Pray hard. Whatever happens, God wont leave us - if its only up to him, everybody would pass so that everyone's happy. But it is in God's nature of perfect goodness that he must allow evil to exist so that even out of evil, he can still produce goodness. It would be wrong to say that if u do not pass, it's God's will - he will even mourn with those who wont pass.. but he has to allow it for a greater good.. Just have faith and trust in him and your life will be fine - if you dont pass, God will make a better plan for you. God bless us all..
As of now, the june2008 nle results already exist.. It does in our external reality but not yet on our consciousness/ internal reality until the BON releases it... Grade A intel: the 30% passing rate is somehow true but it's not quite that - make it a little bit milder. I dont wanna preempt it so thats all for now. Pray hard. Whatever happens, God wont leave us - if its only up to him, everybody would pass so that everyone's happy. But it is in God's nature of perfect goodness that he must allow evil to exist so that even out of evil, he can still produce goodness.
