Just wanna know why there's no board exam for psychology here in the philippines, when in fact, other progressive countries have. since guidance & counseling is under bs psychology, it shouldn't be taken as a separate exam. i suggest that our lawmakers will eventually come up with a board exam in psychology, which can cover the 3 major areas: clinical, educational, and industrial.

FYI: Guidance & Counseling is not under the BS Psychology program but instead under the Education program...What you mean is Counseling Psychology, yes just recently,Congress had signed Republic Act 10029 (The Philippine Psychology Act) last March 16, 2010 that seeks to regulate the practice of psychology and psychometrics in the Philippines by creating the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology and requiring psychologists and psychometricians to pass a Licensure Examination.Hope this update would help clarify any queries.
